Coming back to Calverton

I moved to Calverton in 1992 from the Wirral and I've lived here almost my whole life I spent 10 years in Manchester but moved back here in 2021 and my son now goes to St. Wilfrid's school. I went to St. Wilfrid's school which is really lovely and really nostalgic going back to see him at sports days and activities and playing in the field and walking around the big trail at the east of the 90s. I love going to St Wilfrid's church, I used to play my flute in worship which is really funny to think back now because I don't think I was that good. And yeah absolutely love Calverton, love living here. I think it's a lovely community and I think we're really lucky to have people around the village who really fight to make sure that we can retain as much of the village feeling as we possibly can. So yeah I think this is a really nice thing to have in the village and I hope lots of people get involved in leaving their memories and having seen the Calverton Museum at the village get together recently. I want to urge people to if they can go through their photos that they've got at home and send any through to them because they've got such a great archive of historic photos but none from not that many from the last few decades and so I'm definitely going to try and do that and get some photos of Calverton police scheme and things like that and get those in the museum as well to make sure that when my children look back on the history of Calverton there's definitely lots of things from when I was younger.
