I remember in the summer holidays going to the Lido, which was on Moor Lane and going to the play scheme that was at the play centre that was run by Frank Hill. Lots of other things that I can remember like the jazz band and the actual miners welfare brass band playing for remembrance Sunday, and things like that. Had a great old time in Calverton and I can't think, I remember we used to get loads of snow around Calverton, and stuff like that.
